REMINDER – CLUB OFFICER ELECTIONS will be held at the October meeting and nominations will be made at the September meeting. Vacancies currently exist for President, Secretary and one Board of Director seat.

Bar-B-Que Rib Dinner -- a Rib dinner with baked potato, salad and

Beverage will be held on 18 September – following the next meeting. Please advise Jack Hilbert if you will be attending (and how many mouths you will have to feed). – Cost will be $10.00 per person.

Winter Meetings – As we approach the Fall / Winter meeting schedule, a decision is needed as to whether we keep the Sunday afternoon schedule or return to Thursday evenings – a discussion and decision will be made at the Sept meeting – please give your views to any club officer.

The long hot summer is almost behind us and the time of year I most enjoy is near. Cool, crisp autumn days with the colorful background of changing leaves always invigorates me. I love flying at this time of year!

Autumn also brings Election time! Club Officers are needed for next year. At the minimum we need to find replacements for the following Offices: President, Secretary, 2 Board of Directors. Consider stepping up and running for a position. The TCWS is a fine organization and each Member needs to do their part. Several Members have expressed interest in an Officer position, but we still need several more. I think it would be nice to have an election this year. THINK ABOUT HELPING OUT!

Plans are underway for the 2006 Swap Meet and also for a Club Picnic with a revised format. More on the picnic later as plans become solidified.

Many of you may have noticed me wearing a bandage on my right hand at the last Meeting. I had a close encounter with a spinning prop and sliced a knuckle pretty badly. It is the first time in over 15 years of flying that I have injured myself with a prop. The moral of this is that even though you may have lots of experience one momentary lapse can result in injury!

President, John Messersmith called the meeting to order at 1:30PM at the TCWS flying field pavilion. (22) Members, (1) associate members were present. Daniel Vasquez won the 50/50 drawing.

Jack Hilbert read the Secretary’s report for July. A motion to accept was made by Don Umbenhauer, seconded by Paul Hartley and all approved. Dale Loop read the Treasurer’s report as of 21 August. A motion to accept was made by George Case, seconded by Ray Lucas and all approved.

a. It was agreed to hold the picnic again next year. – 6 August 2006 – SUNDAY!

c. The club wishes to thank Bud Wunder for his fine efforts in coordinating the 2005 event.

b. John Messersmith presented some very preliminary information on new buildings and will formulate a complete report for the next meeting.

b. Nominations are needed ASAP – contact any club officer to make a nomination

c. Nominations can be made for any position – at present, the positions of President and Secretary definitely need to be filled.

a. Jeff Thyng reported he has several used computers available for club members.

Jack is making a FUEL RUN during the week of 22 August – Fuel orders are due by 23 Aug at latest.

A motion was made to close the meeting by Nanci Messersmith, seconded by George Case and all approved.
