President’s Message…

BRRRR!  It's cold outside!  The Holidays are passing quickly!  Don't forget the Polar Bear Fly on New Years Day!  If it snows before then get skis on the plane and try flying off snow!

TCWS goes into the New Year with a lot happening.

1.      There will be a Bulk Fuel sale again this year.  All fuel must be pre-paid and we will have the fuel at the field for distribution in early March.  Each member will have to supply their own containers.  More info will follow next month.

2.      A new design for jackets was approved at the December meeting and by the January meeting I hope to have a vendor tied down with costs and quantities needed known.  An order form will be sent with the Newsletter as soon as all the problems are ironed out.  The jackets will also need to be pre-paid and will be ordered when there are enough orders.

3.      The Swap Meet is on March 26th and while all the major jobs are covered, there are many tasks that still need more member involvement such as the Club table, selling 50-50 tickets, selling Raffle tickets, and assisting at the new auction to be held after noon time.  All members should consider helping out!  Contact Dave Renninger, Walt Gladney or me if you can donate some time to help out.

4.      Finally the events: the Swap Meet and the June Fun Fly Weekend need to be advertised to be successful.  Flyers will be distributed at the WRAM show in February, at the Lebanon Swap Meet and at our Swap Meet.  If any member can take some any other place and post or distribute them call me and I will make sure you get a supply of the flyers.  In January I will be sending Swap Meet flyers to the local clubs for their info.

Until next month, keep the fingers limber and the wheels on the bottom when landing.  John
