President’s Message…
The cold weather has finally set in and flying season has come to an
abrupt end. A few of us hardy
(foolhardy?) souls continue to try to fly but for most it's indoor flying
season, you know, working in the shop or flying the recliner in front of the TV!
TCWS has moved it's meetings to Sundays at the Moose and the first had a
rather small turnout. Maybe it was
the day change or possibly the Eagles in the playoffs, but hopefully next month
will be better.
A new logo design was approved and I hope to have firm prices and
possible a sample of the jacket at the February meeting. I will be also getting
prices on polo shirts and cloth caps. No
T-shirts or sweatshirts until current stock is depleted.
Terry Miller will coordinate the bulk fuel sale. See the information
elsewhere in this newsletter.
Don't forget the upcoming winter events. The WRAM show in White Plains, New York on February 25, 26
& 27, the CPAA swap meet in Lebanon on March 12, and of course the BIG
event, the TCWS swap meet in Hamburg on March 26.
We can use all the volunteers we can muster, we need door watchers,
kitchen helpers, help at the Club Table, people to sell raffle and 50-50 tickets
and helpers for the auction. Also
needed is help to set up on Friday March 25th at 1 PM.
Please come out to help!
A new position of Membership Officer was created to help with
orientation of all new members. Lee
Buskirk has accepted this position. Thanks,
Lee!
At the request of George Case the membership status of the Christman
family was discussed. After
considering all the assistance and help given to the club by the family we
extended complementary membership to Dennis, Sue and Nathan. Thanks for all your help!
Until next month, don't get your fingers glued fast to your project!
----- John
