hand in their order forms to Jane Kramer. Jane
advised the products will be delivered at the May meeting.
Jack
Hilbert read the Secretary’s report for March with a motion to accept by Bud
Wunder, seconded by Dave Renninger, and all approved. Jack Hilbert read the Treasurer’s report as of 15 April
2004. A motion to accept was made
by Jim Paul, seconded by George Case and all approved. George Case won the 50/50 raffle drawing, ($9.00), and

repairs.

Karen Loop had contacted John Rinehart to obtain the

Dave Renninger later tried to contact John Rinehart for
specific case dimensions but as of the meeting date, had not been able to make
contact.
2.
2004 Swap Meet Update
a.
The 2004 event was a huge success and special “thanks”
were bestowed on Walt Gladney and Dave Renninger for their extra efforts and
leadership in planning and executing the event.
b.
The details of the various incomes and expenses were
reviewed.
c.
Several ‘advanced reservations” for 2005 Tables were
already received.
d.
As a result of a large order being placed and minimal sales
at the Swap Shop, the club has a significant supply of hats, sweatshirts and
tee-shirts available for purchase.
e.
Ideas were tabled to improve the 2005 event and suggestions
for things such as a traditional auction, a Chinese auction and special raffle
tables were brought up. All ideas
will be considered for the event next year.
3.

Huge
success thanks to all the members who came out to help.
Or club is fortunate to have a select number of members who can ALWAYS be
counted on to show up to do the work as well as enjoy the camaraderie and good
flying.

New Business…
.
1.
Field Rolling -
a.
A discussion was held and agreed that the field does not need
to be rolled this year.
2.
Additional Flight Stands -
a.
A discussion was held about the number and location of flight
stands.
b.
On a “full day” – it was noted that there are
insufficient number of stands at the east end of the field.
c.
It was also noted that driving to the west end of the field
is permitted when the east end is full.
d.
A motion was made by George Case and seconded by Jim Paul to
build two more stands.
e.
Jack Hilbert volunteered to get the lumber and organize the
construction.
f.
A subsequent review of the proposed location (east end
towards access road) was made and it is suggested that decision be revisited at
the May meeting.
g.
Additional stands at the east end make it very difficult for
those who make a wide approach to land from that direction.
3.
Field Courtesy -
a.
A
general reminder was made that “breaking in” of new engines or tuning of
engines which requires continuous running at high speed SHOULD NOT be done on
the flight line or in the pits. There
is a safety stand behind the sheds for this purpose.
