Unofficial Meeting Minutes…
President Walt Gladney called the
meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. at the Moose Lodge in Hamburg, PA.
Nineteen (19) members were present.
Jack Hilbert read the Secretary’s report for November with a motion to
accept by George Case, seconded by Bud Wunder, and approved.
Jack Hilbert read the Treasurer’s report for November as presented by
Dale Loop with a motion to accept by John Messersmith, seconded by Dave
Renninger, and approved. George
Case won the 50/50 raffle drawing and graciously donated an extra $5.00 from his
winnings back to the Club.
Old
Business…
1.
“Christmas In The Air” Event – The event was held as
scheduled at the Reading, PA airport on December 13 from 8 am to 2 pm.
Dale and Karen Loop were present to represent TCWS and passed out candy
canes to approximately 250 visitors.
a.
A request was made to the club if we would consider donating
a set-up of a working RC model to be used for educational purposes.
b.
The request was deferred to the January meeting for
discussion and possible action.
2.
2003 Swap Meet Insurance Activity – A summary report dated
13 December was written and read by Walt Gladney – primary points are as
follows:
a.
AMA’s insurance investigator handling the claim on behalf
of AMA is Chris Gerfen, (717.545.4777)
b.
Hamburg Field House Insurance has made the claim we took
“too long” to place the alarm once the fire started.
c.
The two insurance companies are now working to achieve a
mutually agreeable settlement.
d.
We will not be able to recover our losses for food, supplies
and equipment.
e.
Our only form of restitution is the $500 rental discount for
2004.
3.
2004 Swap Meet Update – Sales of table space continue to
come in. Everything is going well to date.
On a related note – volunteers are needed to work in the Kitchen
before, during and after the swap meet. Jack
Hilbert is the Kitchen coordinator for the 2004 event.
4.
Christmas Party – Arrangements were made for the annual
event which took place immediately following the December meeting.
A motion was made by Dave Renninger , seconded by Bud Wunder and approved
by all to make a $100.00 donation to the Moose Lodge.
5.
TV Program for 2004 Swap Meet Ad – Bud Wunder reported that
there is no update on the schedule for the program and that the only way to
actually do it is for a cancellation to occur.
No date has been set yet.

was no other old business at the time.
New
Business…
1.
Safety Tables Concerns – Jack Hilbert reported that the
outdoor carpeting and related supplied were all purchased for approximately
$375.00. They are currently in the
storage shed at the field and a work party will be organized as soon as weather
permits.
2.
Polar Bear Fly-In – Jack Hilbert announced the annual New
Year’s Day fly-in would be held starting at approximately 10:00 AM on I
January 2004. Dave Renninger
volunteered to make soup and Jack Hilbert will prepare hot dogs and sauerkraut.
Coffee and hot chocolate will also be available.
3.
Lawn Mower Repair – George Case reported the mower still
has a hydraulic pump problem which Sam Miller is trying to resolve.
4.
Thanks to Outgoing Officers -- On behalf of all the members
of TCWS, Dave Renninger offered a special acknowledgement to Walt Gladney for
his service to the club as past President and an over-all THANK YOU to all the
officers who have served during the past year.

the time.
