Unofficial Meeting Minutes…
President Walt Gladney called the
meeting to order at 7:28 p.m. at the Moose Lodge in Hamburg, PA.
Twelve (12) members and one (1) associate member were present.
Jeff Shriver read the Secretary’s report for October with a motion to
accept by Terry Miller, seconded by Bud Wunder, and approved.
Jeff Shriver read the Treasurer’s report for October as presented by
Dale Loop with a motion to accept by John McLaughlin, seconded by Dave Renninger,
and approved. Terry Miller won the
50/50 raffle drawing.
Old
Business…
1.
2004 Election of Officers – Walt Gladney closed the
nominations for the slate of 2004 officers.
A motion was made by Bud Wunder, seconded by Terry Miller, and approved
to accept the slate of nominations as presented in the November newsletter.
Since there was only one (1) person per position nominated, a motion was
made by Bud Wunder, seconded by Terry Miller, and approved to accept the slate
by acclamation.
2.
2003 Swap Meet Insurance Activity – A call was made on
11/20/03 by the AMA independent investigator regarding an incorrect date listed
at the top of the insurance form for the event and some miscellaneous details.
A follow-up contact regarding the details of the losses to the TCWS is to
follow.
3.
2004 Swap Meet Update – So far, about 10% of the tables
have been sold. Everything is going
well to date. Minor jokes have been
made regarding the 2003 fire. On a
related note, $95 will cover the Lebanon Swap Meet tables’ rental and the
tickets so far. Costs will be
reimbursed to the TCWS for the $95. The
Lebanon table layout has changed slightly – see Walt Gladney if you are
interested in participating in the event at the TCWS tables.
Flyers for the 2004 TCWS Swap Meet will be handed out at Lebanon.
4.
Christmas Party – Arrangements have been made for the
annual event. The time is set for 8
pm at the Moose Lodge lower level. A
short monthly meeting will be held prior to the event at 7:30 pm as usual.
5.
TV Program for 2004 Swap Meet Ad – Bud Wunder reported that
there is no update on the schedule for the program and that the only way to
actually do it is for a cancellation to occur.
No date has been set yet.
There
was no other old business at the time.
New
Business…
1.
Safety Tables Concerns – Good comments were made overall.
In general, though, the tables are difficult to mow around.
A suggestion was made to arrange for mowing between and to have room for
airplanes. It was then suggested
that the club let George Case decide what was best for the arrangement.
Any changes would require an outdoor carpet purchase.
Jack Hilbert was to obtain a purchase price; however, a motion was made
by Bud Wunder, seconded by Nelson Gould, and approved to permit a $350
limitation for the purchase of the carpet by Jack Hilbert.
2.
“Christmas In The Air” Event – The event is going to be
held at the Reading, PA airport. The
date and time are December 13 from 8 am to 2 pm.
Walt Gladney had contacted Tony Talarigo regarding the details.
Basically, the setup is the same as last year.
3.
Missing Video Tapes – Pete Castine and Barry Finck are
looking for a box of videotapes that was left at the field (in the kitchen) from
the IMAC contest held back in August. If anyone has any information about
the location of these tapes, please email Pete at pcastine@fciconnect.com
or pcastine@comcast.net.
You can also reach Barry Finck at (717)
813-1795 or TorkRollN@aol.com.
These tapes were from various TOC and other aerobatic events.
Any help in locating these tapes is greatly appreciated.
There was no other new business at
the time.
