Saturday, May 17th is TCWS Learn to Fly Day #1!
Anyone interested in learning to fly a nitro powered RC airplane is invited
to come out to the TCWS field and get some training. First we'll give
you some brief instructions, then give you a chance to fly on an RC airplane
simulator, and finally, we'll let you fly one of our club trainer planes, with the
assistance of our instructors! Food and drinks will be available!

Jim Ellis' Turbine Powered Jet

Jim Ellis's turbine powered Reaction 54 jet plane, built from a Bruce Tharpe Engineering kit. It's powered by a
Jetcat P70 Turbine with 17.5lbs of thrust. It weighs 23.5lbs dry, holds 74oz of fuel, & has a 78" wingspan.
